Pakistan's Dilemma: Finding a Balance between Geopolitics and Internal Stability
Ambassador  Hussain is a former senior diplomat from Pakistan, with expertise on issues including South Asian security, political Islam, terrorism, and U.S. relations with the Islamic world. Hussain served as the Diplomatic Adviser to the Pakistani Prime Minister from 1996 to 1998. He then served as Ambassador to Brazil (1990-1993), Spain (1993-1995), and Japan (1998-2003). He also served as a Senior Fellow at the US Institute of Peace from 2004 to 2005.

Anderson is the Administrative Director of the South Asia Studies Program at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins, recently retired as chief of the U.S. State Department's South Asia Division in the Office of Analysis for the Near East and South Asia. His current research involves Hindu nationalism and India's assertive foreign policy in the Indian Ocean.
