Bio

Brianna Hinkley is a doctoral student in anthropology with a focus in cultural medical anthropology. She received a B.A. in anthropology with a health and medicine minor from the University of Maine at Farmington.

Her current research focuses on queer-intended parents' experiences with assisted reproductive care in New York state. It examines how queer kinship articulates with access to biotechnology and how biological reproduction impacts the notion of the queer family. This work is largely informed by the anthropology of kinship and reproduction, queer theory, and science and technology studies.
