Bio
Prakhar Sharma is a PhD Candidate in political science at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University. He studies civil wars from a comparative perspective. Prakhar's dissertation focuses on a historical analysis of state building in Afghanistan.
In the past, Prakhar held research roles with Yale University, United States Institute of Peace and S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (Singapore); visiting fellowships with Stimson Center and the United Nations University (Tokyo); and consulting positions with the World Bank, UNICEF and Mercy Corps in Afghanistan.
In addition to his doctoral training in political science, Prakhar has graduate training in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore (2007) and in Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Management in the Philippines (2003).
