Bio
Salome Girgvliani is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Political Science Department specializing in comparative politics and international relations. Born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, Salome earned an MBA from the Free University of Tbilisi in 2012. She completed an executive master's in international relations at Syracuse University in May 2024.
She has more than ten years of working experience in Georgian governmental organizations. Her research interests include democratic backsliding, multilateral trade, development finance, conflict resolution and non-proliferation.
