Bio
Amin is a Ph.D. student in the Political Science Department at the Maxwell School. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago and Michigan State University. Prior to enrolling at the Maxwell School, Amin worked as an Iran analyst at the American Enterprise Institute's (AEI) open-source intelligence center, the Critical Threats Project (CTP) and with its sister organization, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
At AEI and CTP-ISW, Amin conducted research on Iran’s nuclear program, military capabilities, and defense industry. He also previously conducted research on nuclear nonproliferation, global conflict, economic sanctions policy, and Middle East politics at the Social Sciences Division of the University of Chicago, the Pearson Institute at the Harris School of Public Policy, and the political science departments at Michigan State University and Eastern Michigan University, where he taught courses on similar topics.
