Bio
India Luxton received a Ph.D. from the Department of Sociology at Colorado State University in 2024. Her doctoral research examined meatpacking policymaking and oversight during COVID-19.
Her research is centered on conducting solutions-oriented research and collaborating with communities, organizations and agencies to foster social change. This work encompasses a variety of topical areas, including food systems, public health and environmental justice.
She has published in journals including Qualitative Research, Journal of Extension, Feminist Criminiology, Sociological Inquiry, and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
