Bio
Jiahuan Lu's research focuses on the nonprofit sector, including government-nonprofit relations and government contracting. He has published over 40 journal articles in prestigious public administration journals such as Public Administration Review and the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory. He serves as associate editor for three journals and on the editorial board of two additional journals.
Lu has received five grants totaling under $75,000 and has a strong record of community engagement. He received the RGK-ARNOVA President’s Award from ARNOVA in 2022, the Most Popular Article Award 2010-2019 from Non-Profit Management and Leadership in 2020, the Editor’s Prize for Best Scholarly Paper in Non-Profit Management and Leadership in 2017, and the Staats Emerging Scholars Award from NASPAA in 2017.
Lu earned a Ph.D. in public policy from the University of Maryland and an M.A. in public administration from Peking University.
