Bio

Kirin Raynor Taylor is pursuing a Ph.D. in political science and focuses on international law and human rights through the comparative politics and public policy subfields. 

Taylor comes from both a peace and social justice education and grassroots services background, and has developed, supervised and taught curriculum focused on personal and interpersonal peace skills, nutrition and fitness empowerment, and peace and politics. She has also worked in qualitative research and political advocacy to advance fulfillment of the human right to safe, adequate housing through civil society organizations and working groups at the United Nations, particularly engaged through the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

She was an adjunct professor at St. John’s University in the Department of Government and Politics, and taught courses including Politics of Developing Countries, Contemporary Politics, and Introduction to Comparative Politics. Taylor received a master of arts in international relations, and an advanced certificate in international law and diplomacy from St. John’s University in 2019.
