Qining is a Ph.D. student in the Public Administration and International Affairs Department. Originally from Qingdao, China, she holds a BS in economics from Trinity College and an MA in public policy studies from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
At the Harris School, Qining worked as a research assistant, where she analyzed the disparities between property tax assessments and market price fluctuations during economic recessions in U.S. Additionally, she contributed to a series of urban economic development projects led by the Department of Economics at Peking University.
Qining’s research focuses on public finance, budgeting, and public financial management, and she is working with Professor Yilin Hou.
