Bio

Thomas Pearson is assistant professor of economics. He previously served as an instructor, teaching fellow and research assistant at Boston University and as a research associate in Indiana University’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. He also served in the Peace Corps in Nicaragua.

His work has been supported by the Russell Sage Foundation and Boston University’s Initiative on Cities and its Institute of Economic Development. He was named teaching fellow of the year in the Economics department at Boston University, where he was also awarded a graduate student fellowship.

He earned a Ph.D. from Boston University in May 2022.
