Khaled Abu Toameh is an award- winning, independent Israeli-Arab journalist who has been covering Palestinian issues in the West Bank and Gaza for over two decades. Mr. Toameh speaks out against the lack of free speech and press within the PA controlled areas and its effect on the foreign press’ coverage on Israel, as well as the biased opinions within the foreign press’ coverage. As a veteran journalist, he has knowledge of the behind-the-scenes action within the PA and other Palestinian organizations.

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”
