Join us for the 'Conversations in Conflict Studies Series': “Justice and Reconciliation in Sierra Leone: The Grand Project to Help by Imposing what we think we know” SPEAKER: Gearoid Millar, Doctoral Candidate in the Social Science Program Gearoid Millar is a Research Assistant at the Program for the Advancement of Research on Conflict and Collaboration at the Maxwell School and is a PhD student in the multidisciplinary Social Science program researching post-conflict reconciliation processes in West Africa. Gearoid's research focuses on how alternate concepts of justice, truth, reconciliation, and peace complicate the application of western derived peacebuilding projects constructed on normative western conceptions of these social goods.
