Dissenting Voices - History Dept. FPP Conference

 The History Department's Future Professoriate Program will be holding a graduate student conference, "Dissenting Voices," on Friday, March 26th in the Snow Conference Room (151 Eggers Hall). The event will run throughout the day and features papers covering a variety of geographic regions and time periods. The keynote speaker is Dr. Mark Schmeller (PhD, University of Chicago, 2001) an Associate Professor of American History at Northeastern Illinois University. His current research topic involves the concept of public opinion in 19th-century America. Flyers with full details will be posted throughout the Maxwell/Eggers complex.

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”
