Saturday November 5th 9:00 am – 4:30 pm – Presentations Cynthia Cohen, Director of the Program in Peacebuilding and the Arts at Brandeis University presents, “The Moral Imagination and Permeable Membrane between Art and Society.” SU Professors Stephen Cross and Anne Beffel lead an interactive movement and meditation exercise, and Syracuse Stage Dramaturg Kyle Bass, along with actors from Cry for Peace: Voices from the Congo, discuss the role of theater in cultural diplomacy. Storycircles allow participants to share the impact and influence of the arts on conflict transformation.

We’re Turning 100!

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”
