"Pioneering Relief: Reflections on a Humanitarian Career". Join Dr. Werner Schleiffer, former senior staff member at the World Food Program, as he provides insight into his experiences managing international crisis and international relief efforts. Dr. Schlieffer has served in numerous capacities within WFP, including director of their Geneva and Brussels' offices, and brings experience with the organization's efforts to respond to the famine in Ethiopia, the aftermath of the Cambodian civil war, and the Afghan civil war.

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”
