David Hirsh, Lecturer in Sociology, Goldsmiths College, University of London
David Hirsh is a lecturer in sociology at Goldsmiths, University of London. He is the founding editor of the Engage website, which is a resource for the critique of, and for opposition to, contemporary anti-Semitism. He has written a large amount of political, journalistic and scholarly material on this subject. His first book, Law against Genocide: Cosmopolitan Trials, won the Philip Abrams Prize for the best first book in sociology in the UK in 2003 and his new book, about contemporary anti-Semitism on the left, is to be published in the spring of 2017.
