Transnational NGO Initiative presents: Alex Katz - Patagonia: A Cutting Edge Social Enterprise and Its Evolving Relationship with Civil Society

Alex Katz, Manager, Supply Chain Social Responsibility, Patagonia

Civil society is increasingly demanding engagement from major brands and retailers that carry out business around the world. Join us as Alex Katz discusses Patagonia’s role as a leader in responsible business and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Mr. Katz will describe the challenges and successes in transitioning from the current state to desired state of Civil Society Organization (CSO) engagement.

Alex Katz currently serves as the Manager of Supply Chain Social Responsibility at Patagonia. His responsibilities include: ensuring that the company’s Workplace Code of Conduct is respected by all finished goods suppliers, developing annual and long term social responsibility strategies, managing the company’s Fair Labor Association Accreditation, and working on improving programs used to advance the lives of people involved in making Patagonia products.

We’re Turning 100!

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”

Throughout the year leading up to the centennial, engagement opportunities will be held for our diverse, highly accomplished community that now boasts more than 38,500 alumni across the globe.
