In this presentation, Srimati Basu explores some of the legacies of feminist reform pertaining to laws of marriage and violence, tracing the unanticipated effects of such laws, including the difficulties of alternative dispute resolution methods and of addressing problems of violence while also tending to the economic outcomes of marriage.
