South Asia Center Speaker Series: Micro-volunteering, Global Health and the Future of Connected Humanitarianism

The panel will discuss the opportunities and challenges in mobilizing faculty and students to be involved in humanitarian projects with social impact in South Asia and other emerging economies. Through examples, this panel will demonstrate how AarogyaSeva Global Health Volunteer Alliance has been a catalyst in creating a win-win model for all stakeholders involved. The panelists will share lessons that have led to scalable and replicable models. 


Panelists will include Dr. Dayaprasad Kulkarni (AarogyaSeva), Dr. Chilukuri Mohan (Electrical Engineering), Dr. Pun To (Douglas) Yung (Bioengineering), Dr. Sunny Aslam (Upstate Medial University) and Jim Joseph (Dean, Madden School of Business at Le Moyne College).
