Program on Latin America and the Caribbean and Latino/Latin American Studies Program Meet & Greet! 

The Program on Latin America and the Caribbean (PLACA) in collaboration with the Latino/Latin American Studies Program (LLAS) cordially invites you to attend its meet and greet. This event, held at the Inn Complete, South Campus, is an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and others with an interest in Latin America and the Caribbean to gather, mingle, and dance. The event will start with brief opening statements by Gail Bulman, Associate Professor of Spanish and Director of PLACA, and by Myrna García Calderón, Associate Professor of Spanish and Director of Latino-Latin American Studies Program.

Latin American themed buffet will be served, along with refreshments, wine and beer.

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”
