Michael K. Atkinson is a Syracuse University alum and was
the U. S. Inspector General of the Intelligence Community, who was dismissed by
President Trump in April 2020. In September 2019, he alerted Congress to a
whistleblower complaint regarding the president's communications with Ukraine,
pressing for an investigation into Joe Biden and his son - the resulting
scandal led to President Trump's impeachment.

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”
