VIRTUAL: What I've Learned Seminar Series with Vikram Singh

Please join the Maxwell in Washington program on Wednesday, November 18 from 5 to 6 p.m. ET for the launch of the What I’ve Learned seminar series. During this event, Assistant Dean Mark R. Jacobson will lead a conversation with Mr. Vikram Singh about the experiences leading him to public service and the non-profit sector. The conversation will include a discussion of the pressing foreign affairs issues that the United States will face during the Presidential transition and beyond.

Vikram Singh is a Senior Advisor for Asia at the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP) and a Senior Advisor at WestExec Advisors. He has been a leader of innovation in public policy and global affairs for over 15 years including while serving as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for South and Southeast Asia and as the Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan at the Department of State. He also served as the Vice President for National Security at the Center for American Progress and was the first defense fellow at the Center for a New American Security.

To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”
