Maxwell Centennial Event in New York City

Please join the Maxwell School for a special centennial-year gathering in New York City on Tuesday, Sept. 17! The evening’s program will feature the Syracuse University Institute for Democracy, Journalism and Citizenship, with IDJC Kramer Director Margaret Talev leading a conversation with Sam Feist, Chief Executive Officer of C-SPAN.

A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the program starting at 7:15 p.m., including opening remarks from Dean David M. Van Slyke reflecting on the school’s 100th anniversary.

Maxwell and Syracuse University alumni, parents and friends are invited to attend; online registration requested by Thursday, Sept. 12 at the 'Cuse Community event page.

We’re Turning 100!


To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”

Throughout the year leading up to the centennial, engagement opportunities will be held for our diverse, highly accomplished community that now boasts more than 38,500 alumni across the globe.
