This talk asks, "How do sewers become sacred?"  The port of Santos is famous for being the first city in Brazil with a modern sewer system.

About the speaker:

Daniel Reichman, Associate Professor, Department of Anthropology, University of Rochester

Prof. Reichman's research focuses on cultural responses to economic change, especially the anthropology of trade and globalization in Latin America.
