About the speaker:
Luis Symanski, Associate Professor, Department of Anthropology and Archaeology, Federal University of Minas Gerais
Luis Symanski is an associate professor in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in Brazil. He took his PhD degree in Anthropology at the University of Florida. His research interests include the archaeology of African diaspora in Brazil, social inequality, race, and religiosity.
