Maxwell alumni and friends are invited to join us for our next virtual faculty/alumni conversation. Jamie Winders, Professor of Geography and Director of Syracuse University’s Autonomous Systems Policy Institute, will engage in a Q&A with alumna Erin Kenneally ’93 BA (PSc) about her career, her involvement in artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and other emerging technologies and the ways in which she applies her training in the social sciences to her work.

This program will feature:
Jamie Winders is Professor of Geography and the Environment at the Maxwell School and Director of Syracuse University’s Autonomous Systems Policy Institute, a campus-wide initiative dedicated to interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching on the design, governance, and wider implications of autonomous systems. Her research focuses on four themes including the design, regulation, and social impacts of emerging technologies, especially autonomous systems and artificial intelligence.
Erin Kenneally ’93 BA (PSc) is Director of Cyber Risk Analytics at Guidewire-Cyence, where she provides strategic advice for data-driven research innovation, risk analytics, and modeling technology solutions. Kenneally founded and is CEO of Elchemy, where she provides thought leadership, research & development, and strategic advisement for current and emerging risk and innovation at the crossroads of information and communication technologies and advanced analytics, law, ethics, and policy.
