Douglas presented with executive leadership award

Judy Douglas ’77 BA (AmSt)/’81 MPA was given the Industry Executive Leadership Award by the American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC).
Douglas received this award in recognition for contributions to ACT-IAC, her mentorship, and her work strengthening government-industry relations. This is the highest honor given by the organization to industry executives and is awarded to an individual who has been a substantial contributor to both ACT-IAC and the federal community. ACT-IAC, headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, was founded in 1979 to improve government through effectively and innovatively applying technology and hosting a forum where government and industry executives can collaborate and learn from one another.
Douglas, who currently chairs ACT-IAC’s Institute for Innovation Advisory Board, has been with the organization since December 2009. She is also a fellow with the National Academy of Public Administration, a commissioner for the Arthur S. Flemming Awards, and a client industry executive with Perspecta. She previously served as vice president of leadership and performance at the Council for Excellence in Government, where she facilitated cross-sector professional communications. Douglas was also a director with the U.S. General Services Administration where she helped increase information technology management in the federal sector.
