"The bigger problem I think, is that for individual businesses and individual workers who are specifically hit by the tariffs, this is going to have a significant effect," Mary Lovely told the BBC, adding, "And of course we'll want to look ahead to the long run impact which I think will be something that we will feel for years to come." Lovely spoke with multiple news outlets about the U.S. tariffs on $34 billion worth of Chinese imports that went into effect Friday.
