Maxwell faculty, students honored at One University Awards event

Syracuse University held the inaugural One University Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 25, in Hendricks Chapel, honoring dozens of members of the University community for their scholarship, teaching, academic achievement, leadership and service. The following Maxwell faculty member and students were among the honorees:
Meredith Professor for Teaching Excellence; Jackie Orr, associate professor of sociology
Meredith Teaching Recognition Awards; Jeffrey Gonda, assistant professor of history and Jonnell Robinson, assistant professor of geography
United Methodist Scholar/Teacher of the Year, Thomas Perreault, professor of geography
Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship; Farrell Greenwald Brenner (citizenship and civic engagement)
