Maxwell students win big at New York Business Plan Competition

Several Maxwell students and alumni were among the Syracuse University student entrepreneurship teams that dominated the eighth annual New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC). Josh Aviv '15 BA (Econ) won the $100,000 grand prize for developing a portable, fast-charging battery unit for electric vehicles. Ryan Brinkerhoff '16 BA (PSt) and Khalid Bin Ayaz Khan '17 BA (Econ) won the $10,000 first place prize in the Social Entrepreneurship/Non-profit category for their Thrive Project, which empowers underserved communities through education and skills training for sustainability.
