"The result of their [NASA] effort was to dramatically multiply the pace of technology development since then," writes University Professor Sean O'Keefe. "The capacity and urgency emerged to design lighter materials, electronic components to respond faster, and chemical propulsion to generate power at levels unimaginable, at substantially faster rates than Moore's Law would naturally produce." O'Keefe's op-ed titled "Apollo 11: A seismic scientific event that multiplied pace of technology" was published in The Hill.
O'Keefe was also quoted in the New York Times article "For 50 Years Since Apollo 11, Presidents Have Tried to Take That Next Giant Leap."
