The Senate voted along party lines to advance President Trump's nomination of Tulsi Gabbard to serve as the director of national intelligence. Grant Reeher, professor of political science, discusses the latest with LiveNOW from FOX.

“I think that the ones who have come through so far have given us a good sense. I thought that [Pete] Hegseth, the defense secretary, was the most problematic overall, of all the ones that stayed in the process. I think given that Hegseth has made it through, that tells me that the other ones are likely to make it as well,” Reeher says.

“Some of it obviously depends on what has come out of their mouth and what will come out of their mouth. The senators are listening to that very closely, the ones that have concerns. Those last few votes in the Republican Caucus and then some folks that are on the Democratic side of the aisle. I think you're going to see more of these party line votes coming out of the Senate for the most controversial candidates,” says Reeher.
