WRVO to broadcast first debate between candidates for Syracuse mayor

The first debate between the candidates for mayor of Syracuse will air this Monday, October 2 at 7 p.m. on WRVO. The debate, recorded this week, will feature Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins, Republican nominee Laura Lavine, independent candidate Ben Walsh and Democratic nominee Juanita Perez Williams. Grant Reeher, host of “The Campbell Conversations” and director of the Campbell Public Affairs Institute at the Maxwell School of Citizenship at Syracuse University, will moderate.

A portion of the debate will air before the full broadcast, including:
• during “Weekend Edition” on Saturday, September 30 at 8:35 a.m.
• during “Morning Edition” on Monday, October 2 at approx. 6:45 a.m. and 8:45 a.m
