Brian Taylor, professor of political science and director of the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs, spoke with LiveNOW from FOX to discuss Ukraine’s recent military advances into Russian territory.

Taylor says, “I think it’s really shifted the narrative about the war. It has raised the morale of the Ukrainian military. It has raised the morale of the Ukrainian people. At the same time, it has disoriented the Russian side. Both in terms of the decision makers and the population. No one saw this coming.”

Taylor adds, “It is the first time since World War II that foreign troops are occupying part of the territory of the Russian Federation. So, it’s a real change of the narrative and I think that’s the most important part of the story. At the same time, as a military matter, it is not clear that this is going to have an overwhelming impact on the course of the war, and the fight still does continue elsewhere along the frontline.”
