Michael Wasylenko, Maxwell Advisory Board Professor of Economics, recently spoke at the Citizens Budget Commission conference on economic issues facing New York state. His remarks were featured in the GlobeSt.com article "Pointers for Successful State Economic Development Programs." According to Wasylenko, economic development programs require sustained support with horizons of 20 years. He also emphasized fiscal and job programs are not quick fixes where results can occur in one or two years. 12/20/18
