Maxwell Honors 9 Students with Centennial Scholar Awards
The undergraduate and graduate students received the recognition at the school’s Syracuse Centennial Celebration.

Lender Center Student Fellows Named, Will Work on Public Health Research Project
Among those selected are Maxwell students Tommy DaSilva, a policy studies and citizenship and civic engagement major, and Sabrina Lussier, a triple major in geography, citizenship and civic engagement, and environmental sustainability and policy.

Maxwell School Announces Two New Chairs and Trio of Directors for 2024-25
Several Maxwell School faculty have been promoted to leadership roles, including Junko Takeda, who has been named chair of the Citizenship and Civic Engagement (CCE) Undergraduate Program after serving in an interim role since July 2023, and Leonard M. Lopoo, who began as chair of the Public Administration and International Affairs Department in July 2024.

Five Maxwell students and alumni are among the 14 Syracuse University students and alumni who have been named as 2024 recipients.

University Names 2024-25 Remembrance Scholars
The scholarships, now in their 35th year, were founded as a tribute to—and means of remembering—the students studying in London and Florence through Syracuse University who were killed in the Dec. 21, 1988, bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.

Maxwell Faculty, Staff and Students to Be Honored at 2024 One University Awards Ceremony
The One University Awards Ceremony, an annual event to honor members of the Syracuse University community who are making a difference through academics, scholarship, creative work and dedicated service, will be held Friday, April 19, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel.

Two Maxwell Seniors Named 2024 Syracuse University Scholars
Alana Coffman (international relations, citizenship and civic engagement) and Iona Volynets (international relations, history) were among those named 2024 Syracuse University Scholars, the highest undergraduate honor the University bestows.

Centennial Scholars Named in Honor of the Maxwell School’s 100th Anniversary
In addition to receiving a stipend to support their studies, the six students have been invited to attend an anniversary celebration in Washington, D.C.
