"COVID-19 outcomes among people with intellectual and developmental disability living in residential group homes in New York State," co-authored by Scott Landes, associate professor of sociology, was published in Disability and Health Journal. The study shows that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) living in residential group homes are more likely to be diagnosed with COVID-19 and die from the virus than those without IDD. According to the researchers, the disparity is likely related to a higher prevalence of co-morbid diseases among those with IDD, and/or a higher percentage of people with IDD living in congregate residential settings. 07/01/20
