Many cities around the world suffering from rising traffic congestion are turning to low-cost Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems but evidence from a recent study co-authored by Alexander Rothenberg, assistant professor of economics, suggests that BRT systems can actually worsen traffic congestion.
