Sean O'Keefe co-chaired a study released by the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) Technology and National Security Program. The report lays out a fundamentally new strategic approach for the Department of Defense for generating technological advantage. The report, “ Future Foundry: A New Strategic Approach to Military-Technical Advantage,” makes the case that the Pentagon must go beyond changing acquisition policy. Rather, it needs to shift the Department’s underlying technology strategy to better align with the modern marketplace for innovation and the United States’ threat environment.
O'Keefe and William Lynn, former deputy secretary of defense, presented the report at an official “roll out” event, along with the project director, Ben Fitzgerald.
