was awarded the Norman Grandy Faculty Award at the May 2024 commencement ceremony for McKendree University, where he serves as a professor of political science.

was honored for public service excellence by the U.S. Virgin Islands 175th Emancipation Commemoration Committee on International Women's Day 2024. Hodge is deputy executive director at the Virgin Islands Port Authority, overseeing financial policies, disaster recovery and federal grants.
Marcy (Block) Glattstein ’90 M.P.A.
was promoted to managing director, global head of environmental, social and governance (ESG) ratings for Sustainable Fitch, a New York City-based information services company. She oversees a team of 80 rating analysts in six global offices.
Alejandro D. Lerner ’89 B.S. (Econ)
began a new position as managing director to the core Latin American Capital Markets coverage team at ACP Capital Markets, a specialized investment bank.
Kip M. Konwiser ’85 B.A. (Econ)
and his entertainment company produced the 2024 feature films "Outlaw Posse," starring Whoopi Goldberg and directed by Mario Van Peebles, and "The Last Rodeo," directed by Jon Avnet, along with feature documentary "Still a Black Star." He resides in California and is a partner and owner of Konwiser Brothers Entertainment with his brother.
Gizelle M. Ortiz-Velazquez ’84 B.A. (IR)
was recently promoted to senior director for UpSkill Miami at United Way Miami. The organization partners with employers to provide career training in underrepresented communities.

started a new job as the human resource director for Schuylkill County, Pa. He previously worked for the federal government and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Michael Reilly ’83 M.A. (PSc)
received the Unsung Hero Mental Health Advocacy Award at the Vermont State House in January 2024. Reilly is development coordinator at Champlain Community Services, an organization that supports individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.
Ann M. Catino ’83 M.P.A.
was named a 2024 Top 25 Real Estate Power Player by the CT Hartford Business Journal. Catino is an attorney with Halloran Sage LLP; the honor recognizes her work with Connecticut's brownfield programs, regulations governing environmental cleanups and the redevelopment of properties statewide.

recently retired to Florida. He served as chief investment officer for UBS Trust Company in New York City, Atlanta, and Wilmington, Del. Deyo also previously worked for Reliance Trust Company and Arden Trust Company.

Andrea E. Ibañez ’73 M.A. (Anth)
retired from a 20-year career with the city of Tucson, Ariz., most recently as director of the Department of Housing and Community Development and has reconnected with her true love: fiction. Writing under the pen name Andrea Kress, she has published 15 books.
Kenneth H. Hilton ’72 M.A. (Hist)/ ’91 Ph.D. (Hist)
recently retired after 40 years in public education, most recently serving as superintendent of schools in the Sullivan West Central School District in Jeffersonville, N.Y. He is working on a book and enjoying time with his wife of 56 years, Annie.

published two articles, "Jewish Women's Organizations of the Capital District" in New York History Review and "Kaddish for Abraham Lincoln" in Community College Humanities Review Journal. Strum is professor of history and political science and program coordinator for public policy at Russell Sage College.
Lt. Col. John E. Norvell (USAF, Ret.) ’68 M.A. (Hist)
was awarded an honorary doctorate of humane letters from his alma mater, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, in recognition of his service to the institutions, his community and fellow veterans.
Luciano J. Iorizzo ’58 M.A. (Hist)/ ’66 Ph.D. (Hist)
has published his seventh book, an autobiography titled "You Are Lucky, Luciano" (Teneo Press, 2023). Additionally, Iorizzo was recently interviewed by the U.S. Veterans Program as part of a collection of personal narratives with the Library of Congress. Iorizzo is a professor emeritus of history at the State University of New York, Oswego.
