Dennison quoted in Syracuse.com article on outpatient surgery

According to Tom Dennison, director of the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion, the migration of profitable procedures to free-standing surgery centers makes it more difficult for hospitals to cover the cost of 24/7 emergency care and other "safety net" services that are not profitable.

Reeher featured in Syracuse.com article on mayoral race

Grant Reeher, professor of political science and director of the Campbell Public Affairs Institute, conducted an interview with Syracuse's three democratic candidates for mayor in the party's primary. Reeher attempted multiple times to get each candidate to articulate how they differed on policy positions from each other, with little success.

Alex Lynch '16 BA (PSc/CCE) featured in local media for CCE project

Alex Lynch '16 B.A. (PSc/CCE) proposed bringing more security cameras to the city streets around the University to make the area safer for current students, as his research revealed that 82% of students do not feel safe off campus. Lynch raised $94,000 from landlords and student associations to buy and install security cameras in a heavily populated student neighborhood and proposed eight sites for cameras to be installed, with the majority to be placed on Euclid Avenue.

Dennison weighs in on hospital regulations on Syracuse.com

Tom Dennison, faculty director of the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion, said the Auburn ER is not equipped to handle a traumatic spinal injury. "I would rather have the clinicians make that judgment than to blindly follow a policy," he added.
