Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office: COSSAP Grant
The Lerner Center serves as the external evaluators and research partners on a Comprehensive Opioid Stimulant and Substance Abuse Program (COSSAP) grant awarded to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. Lerner and the Maxwell X Lab are responsible for assessing process and outcome measures of Onondaga County’s program, which aims to build strong coordination between in custody and community-based treatment and establish peer recovery support services for individuals leaving jail and returning to the community. The ultimate goal of the Onondaga County project is to reduce the impact of illicit opioids, stimulants, and other substances on individuals and communities.
