Guest Speaker- Peter Willner, Director, The Ahmad and Elizabeth El-Hindi Center for Dialogue at InterFaith Works of CNY. Dialogue programs address community concerns and encourage understanding across racial, ethnic, religious, and community differences. How can dialogue help with having difficult conversations among diverse groups of participants? What types of challenges do dialogue programs face? How do we think about dialogue as a structured process and not “just talk?” A dialogic exercise among the attendees may occur; if so, attendees are encouraged to fully participate.
Conversations in Conflict Studies is a weekly educational speaker series for students, faculty, and the community.
The series, sponsored by PARCC, draws its speakers from Syracuse University faculty, national and international scholars and activists, and PhD students. Pizza is served. Follow us on Twitter @PARCCatMaxwell, tweet #ConvoInConflict.
