Choi promoted to full professor at Korean public policy school

Changyong Choi ’11 PhD (SSc) has been named to a full professorship at the Korea Development Institute’s School of Public Policy and Management, effective July 1.
Choi’s appointment is in international development and public policy. His research emphases include development, economic reform, and democratization in developing countries and transitional economies; governance reform; conflict prevention and post-conflict reintegration; and international development cooperation for North Korea.
While at Maxwell, Choi studied the political and institutional origins of market development in North Korea. His dissertation on that topic received the 2011 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from Syracuse University.
