Professor Matthew Huber's newly published book, "Climate Change as Class War: Building Socialism on a Warming Planet," was featured in the Jacobin article, "'Awareness' Will Not Save Us From Climate Disaster."

Seven Maxwell students and alumni have been named as 2022 recipients of awards through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The program funds a range of awards that include English teaching assistantships (ETA) and study/research grants in over 140 countries.

Syracuse University’s Remembrance Scholar Selection Committee has chosen the 35 students who will be the 2022-23 Remembrance Scholars.

The 2022 One University Awards were held Friday, April 22, in Hendricks Chapel. The annual event honors members of the Syracuse University community who are making a difference through academics, scholarship, creative work and dedicated service.

Monmonier, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Geography and the Environment, follows John Byron Plato's path from farmer in his mid-30s to inventor of several inventions including the “Clock System,” which assigned addresses to rural residences without house numbers.

Students in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs can now apply directly to the school and begin taking Maxwell courses from day one. 

"In Defense of the Tennessee Valley Authority," co-authored by Professor Matt Huber, was published in Jacobin. 

Farhana Sultana, associate professor of geography and the environment, discussed the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report on global warming. 

At the start of the spring 2022 semester, the Maxwell School’s Geography and the Environment Department welcomed two new faculty members, one of whom was hired as part of the University’s research clusters initiative.
